Full Upper and Lower Dentures

Full upper and lower dentures are designed to replace all missing teeth in both the upper and lower jaws. They provide a functional and aesthetic solution for individuals who have lost all their natural teeth.

A complete set of natural teeth consists of up to 32 teeth, including the third molars, commonly known as wisdom teeth. However, dentures typically replace a maximum of 28 teeth, as wisdom teeth are not included in the design. This approach ensures a comfortable fit while maintaining natural function and appearance.

Why Consider This Treatment?

This information is for people who have difficulty wearing their upper or lower dentures securely and confidently. Loose and uncomfortable lower dentures are far more common than upper ones. Upper dentures have the advantage of adhering to the roof of the mouth through suction, whereas lower dentures often just sit in place.

During eating and speaking, a lower denture needs to be manipulated by the tongue, lips, and cheek muscles to function properly. Many people struggle to develop an effective technique, which is why some individuals can bite into an apple with ease while others cannot.

How Does It Work?

We recommend surgically inserting two, three, or four implants into your jawbone (typically the lower jaw). These implants will support nylon clips or denture locks that are inserted into the denture, allowing it to securely clip onto the implants. This process ensures a tight and secure fit, providing the closest experience to having natural teeth.
